JOB DESCRIPTION:

Cell and molecular neurobiological studies of Alzheimer's Disease and related neurodegenerative diseases. We seek highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. degree in biological or chemical sciences for a full-time position exploring disease mechanisms in cell and mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. Our research focuses on fundamental and disease-related regulation of the endosomal-lysosomal pathway and autophagy. We have developed innovative approaches and models to understand how these pathways function in health and diseased neurons and conduct drug therapy validation studies. Unique research training opportunities are available that combine molecular, cell biological, morphologic, and biochemical approaches in a multidisciplinary setting at an internationally recognized research center. There are ample opportunities for scientific growth, career enhancement and development into an independent investigator in academia.
