JOB DESCRIPTION:

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Ohno at the Center for Dementia Research, Nathan Kline Institute.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow who is interested in investigating the mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related cognitive impairments, aiming to develop disease-modifying therapeutic interventions. The project employs multidisciplinary approaches including molecular and biochemical analyses, pathologies, signaling pathways, synaptic function, pharmacology, and behavioral testing of genetically engineered mouse models of AD. JOB DUTIES:

  • Working closely with PI and performing the research project for peer reviewed publications
  • Microscopy and protein assays such as western blotting, ELISA and immunohistochemistry
  • Behavioral assessments
  • Mouse genotyping and maintenance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or related life science field
  • A strong research background and track record of productivity as evidenced by high-quality publications
