The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) has an immediate full-time opening for a Grants Specialist at our Nathan Kline Institute location in Orangeburg, New York. Location: 140 Old Orangeburg Road, Building 35, Orangeburg, New York.


Provide pre-post-award administrative support in the Grant Office for all governmental and private sector grants and contracts.

Responsible for budget review, Grant application review, monitoring financial and progress reports and compliance with external and internal regulations and policies.


BS/BA Required. Advanced degree or research administration experience a plus.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.

Strong computer skills and/or accounting background a plus.

The candidate must also possess strong organized skills; maintain confidentiality of work materials, detail orientated, dependable and team player.

Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:

Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment. 2) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.
