The Division of Social Solutions and Services Research (SSSR) is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Research Project Manager. The Research Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the various aspects of both biological and survey data collection. Activities include field staff supervision, assistance in report writing will include literature reviews, first drafts and edits of reports. The preferred candidate will have a background in behavioral health, public health, and a strong interest in research related to cultural and structural equity in behavioral and mental health.


Supervise field staff; coordinate field staff training; maintain participant database; perform quality checks of the data and data entry; maintain IRB protocols; serve as point of contact for grant related consultants and consortium partners; assist in grant and manuscript development, including library searches and accessing research websites; develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality, as well as, order and maintain supplies for collection of the biological samples.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience supervising and coordinating the work of others.
  • Minimum of five years of pre- and post-award experience, preferably in Higher Education or research setting.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in public health, statistics or other allied health science field.

Must have transportation to Orangeburg, NY.
