Coordinate schizophrenia research studies: at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center 125th Street Outpatient Clinic in Harlem, NYC. Performs specific research tasks and certified procedures like consenting, phlebotomy, electrocardiography, research questionnaires, neuropsychological evaluations, therapeutic group sessions, and others. Serves as the liaison person with other departments of the hospital and clinics depending on the requirements of protocol and clinical needs.


  • Screen, recruit, and consent eligible research patients
  • Schedule consented research patients for diagnostic interview and cognitive battery testing
  • Monitor and accurately document clinical progress of research patients
  • Organize and handle research records and investigational products, including: research orders, research medication, research progress notes, research regulatory documents, handling and shipping of laboratory specimen, and videotaping of research interviews and neuropsychological testing.
  • Perform psychiatric interview scales and certified in neuropsychological testing such as the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB) in Schizophrenia, WRAT-4, WASI-II, TMT Part B, WMS, VRFCAT, CFAS
  • Enter data into paper or electronic case report forms, databases, and spreadsheets and resolve research data queries if necessary
  • Assists with the development of experimental design and performs statistical analyses for studies. Conducts thorough and detailed reviews of project documentation, program algorithms, and analysis outputs.   Prepares and reviews statistical sections contained in grant submissions and manuscripts.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the administrative, clinical, medical, and research teams


B.S. or Master's degree in Psychology or related field
