An entry level position in neuroscience that involves the study of mouse models of Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. The project involves behavioral testing and RNA profiling of specific cell types in the mouse and postmortem human brain.


  • Animal handling & brain surgeries
  • Laser capture microdissection
  • RNA purification
  • RNA sequencing library preparation
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Behavioral testing


  • BA/BS in neuroscience or related area
  • Experience with handling of small laboratory animals
  • Experience with brain research
  • Competence in one of the following: laser capture microdissection or RNA preparation including purification and library preparation for sequencing
