An entry level analyst position in bioinformatics for neuroscience projects that involve the study of mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and Down syndrome. The project involves bioinformatic assessment of RNA sequencing data derived from mouse models and human postmortem brain tissues. Minimum of the following technical skills is required: Practical experience with RNA-sequencing datasets and facility with RStudio and/or Python.


  • Data mining
  • Bioinformatic analysis of RNA-seq data
  • Preparation of RNA-seq derived data for pathway analysis by gene ontology and/or KEGG, DAVID, IPA analysis
  • Graphical output of data analysis for publication


  • BA/BS in bioinformatics, neuroscience, or related area
  • Experience with brain research
  • Facility with RStudio/Python
  • Scripting and statistical language
  • Facility with DAVID, IPA or KEGG
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and database management software


Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:
